The Phone Talk
According to the Nseries Blog, the designers of the Nseries devices are running out of designing ideas and they started making very similar phones recently. He says that N85, N96, N78 and N81 look very similar. I would agree with that, but I don’t agree with the claim that Nokia Nseries designs are similar. Look at the N95 and N95 8GB. Well, they are not that different either, but what would you expect them to make? It’s a phone in the end… It is nearly impossible to make a big design change without adding an extra size to the phone. As it would be with the triple-slider design mentioned recently, it will probably increase the thickness of the phone considerable, due to the extra layer of sliders for the perpendicular sliding.
What do you think, do Nokia designers need to take a break?

Following the photos of the 8GB version of Nokia N95, here are some photos from the N95 classic. N95 Classic is the first from the two models of N95, so it’s a little bit weaker and cheaper than Nokia N95 8GB.
Other disadvantages in N95 Classic compared to N95 8GB is the small memory (128 MB while 8GB has, as it’s name says 8 Gigabytes of integrated memory), smaller screen (2.6 inch, where the 8GB has the stunning 2.8 inches).
Anyway, head to the N95 8GB review post to read about it’s tidy bits and don’t forget that Nokia N96 is on it’s way out too…

StopCall is a free Symbian application, written in the Python language, that allows you to filter out and reject calls from a specified list of numbers. Whenever a caller is placed in the filtering list, you won’t be distracted by that caller anymore, because your phone won’t do a beep and the caller will hear a busy tone. Since the application is written in Python, you need to have the S60 version of Python installed before using this application. The file is also unsigned, so you are gonna need to sign it before using.
