Find Yourself
N95 8GB has an integrated GPS receiver. I personally have not found it to be very useful in small country like mine (Bulgaria), because the maps are detailed like as much to 2 streets per city. The satellite locking time is not so impressive either – 3 minutes at least, but with the A-GPS feature and enabled networking, the locking time can be decreased to less than a minute.
Find Your Stuff
An interesting feature in this smartphone is the intergrated search engine, which can look and find you whatever you are looking from music, videos, contacts, calendar entries, messages and more.
Stay Connected
The Nokia Browser is great and can easily replace your ordinary one. There is Flash Lite v3, so there is full flash support, but I’ve experienced some issues with JavaScript loaded sites. There is always the free alternative though – Opera Mini.
The Wi-Fi capabilities of N95 8GB are good and you can stay connected to the internet whenever you are, wirelesly. Speaking of wireless stuff, you can connect your phone to your home system via Wi-Fi or use the included TV-Out cable.
Photos Wherever You Go
I should really not talk about the camera. It has 5 megapixels (2592 x 1944 pixels) and Carl Zeiss Optics and auto focus, which speaks for itself. With VGA MPEG-4 30 frame per second video capturing quality (supported video playback formats: MPEG-4, H.264, H.263/3GPP, RealVideo), the Nokia N95 8GB can easily replace your regular point and shoot camera. There is a front camera for video calls which is CIF (352 x 288 pixels)
Another good thing about this phone is that it runs the Symbian v3 OS and supports different interactive applications. The integrated accelerometer detects all the movements and tilts and with the endless applications already created, using the phone can be a fun experience.
It’s All About Power
The N95 8GB has a 1200 mAH battery, which is increased by 25% compared to N95 classic. However, for such a hardware and software packed phone, the battery lasts around one day with medium usage.
