The home screen is widget-based and highly customizable. The display is widescreen with 16:9 proportions, it’s 3.5 inch big and touch-sensitive with 360×640 resolution and 16 million colors. This huge real estate is great for watching movies or browsing the web. The camera is a 5 megapixel one with Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash. It can record great-quality VGA video at 30 fps.
Additional features include A-GPS, compass sensors, accelerometer and proximity sensor, next-generation connectivity options (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, tri-band HSDPA, 3G), 32 GB of internal memory (plus a microSD card slot for additional 16 GB, making a total available memory of 48 GB), 3.5mm audio jack (including TV-Out), FM radion/FM transmitter and more.
The battery is 1500 mAh one, which lasts roughly a day or day and a half at moderate usage.
The white version of Nokia N97 looks sweet and it seems to have some design features taken from Nokia N79. Having touch-screen and the most up-to-date features in a mobile device, makes Nokia N97 a strong competitor for the current touch-screen handsets like Apple Iphone, G1 Android Phone and Samsung OMNIA.
